Word For The Month

PEACE

It seems hard in this hostile world that we do not have any peace at all, because of so much hardship.  The world is not at peace as we know it, but we as Christians have inner peace from God.  The love of Christ that rest in our hearts comes from His love for us.  Jesus said in the gospel of John 14:27 

“Peace I leave with you.  My peace I give to you.  I don't give to you as the world gives.  Do not let your heart be distressed or intimidated.”

The abundance of this verse is when Jesus said, "I don't give to you as the world gives.” The world gives temporal peace in different ways with money and all kinds of stuff that will only last for a little while.  It soon vanishes from our lives like vapor in the air.  But rest assure that the peace that God gives is eternal, it has no end.  It is on going, never failing.  The peace of God has never lost a battle.  Why fight when all you and I have to do is just trust Jesus Christ and we will always come out with a victory report.  The peace of God is so powerful that sometimes when we are so broken and outcasted He gives our heart peace when we should be crying and loosing our minds.  So I just would like to say peace to you and your family in all that you do in this world.  Remember that He, Christ Jesus, has already won the war on trouble.
